The Bolddog Lings Motorcycle Display Team
We are delighted to announce that the Bolddog Lings Motorcycle Display Team (as seen on ITV's Britain's Got Talent) will be back again for the 2014 Ashby Show. Make sure you don't miss their unique non-stop show, using the most innovative ramps, equipment and talented riders. Their show features the UK's top ranked freestyle motocross riders, incorporating their latest heart stopping tricks. Between displays, the public are invited to their interactive stand where they can meet the riders and find out more about motorcycling.
The J C Ball Dancing Diggers
We are also very pleased to invite back the brilliant J C Balls Digger Dance Display Team. They will be showing the flexibility and talent of the digger drivers, following a precisely choreographed routine to music, containing several daring manoeuvres and even balancing the machines on their sides.
There will be the parade of hounds and beagles, with the Atherstone Hunt and the North Warwickshire Beagles taking part. After a display the huntsmen will invite all the children into the ring to meet with the hounds.
This year, to celebrate our Centenary Show, there will be a display of 100 years of Agriculture, starting with a Shire Horse and followed by a large variety of vintage tractors with various farming implements which will then take us up to the current day with a show of the huge farm machinery now used. This parade will start around 11.35 am.
This is a wonderful opportunity to see many of the spectacular animals that have been in the judging rings during the morning. The 2014 President of the Ashby Agricultural Society, Mr Robert Botham, will award the Breed Champions their winners trophies.
See lots of modern machines on display in the 100 Years of Agriculture Parade.
After the preliminary judging and Show Drive, the competitors parade in the Main Ring, at 16.30 pm, for the final judging. It is always a magnificent sight to see the immaculate turnouts in full flow during their display.
Light Horse & Ponies
There will be a huge variety of horses & ponies to see, from the Miniature Shetlands, Welsh Ponies and Side Saddle, right up to the majestic Ridden Hunters. Their owners and riders have spent hours preparing for their event.
Classes are held in the Main Ring and are always popular with the public, who love to see these huge, stunning horses.
