Our Committee
The Show is run by a Committee of 30 Members plus co-opted Members for various sections of the Show.
The President for 2012 is Mr Pejman Zamani, with Mr John Shields as Vice-President. Pejman will take over the realm following our AGM in March and is a local restaurateur in Ashby de la Zouch. He has been involved with the Show for about 5 years now and is a very 'hands on' Committee Member, never afraid to role up his sleeves and always keeps the workers fed by bringing along some delicious pizzas! We welcome Pejman as President and hope that he enjoys his year in this important role.
Lesley Whitaker is the Chairman of the Society and is currently serving her tenth year in this job. Lesley also organises the Craft & Shopping Marquees and on Show Day enjoys showing the President round the Show, visiting all the trade stands and livestock exhibits.
Jane Harding is the Show Secretary and has recently taken over this role, after serving many years as Assistant Secretary. She is a local farmer’s daughter and is enjoying the challenge of her new position. Jane can be contacted on 01283 229225 or email at info@ashbyshow.com.
Iris Pollard is the Honorary Treasurer and is doing an excellent job and is always looking at ways to cut costs!
