Their farm is less than two miles from the showground and, as a family run business, Livesey Brothers are excited by the prospect of supporting such a successful local event, at which they annually exhibit their 100% British grown Exotic Mushrooms.
The Livesey Family have been growing mushrooms for over 50 years in North West Leicestershire. Brothers Tim and Simon have been growing Exotic Mushrooms on their purpose built farm in Packington, Leicestershire for over 27 years. The range of Exotic Mushrooms grown at the farm has expanded to now include Enoki, Buna Shimeji, Shiro Shimeji, Eryngii, Shiitake and Maitake. Livesey Bros take pride in being the UK’s no.1 grower of Exotic Mushrooms and producers of the most diverse range of Exotic Mushrooms in the whole of the UK. They supply to major supermarkets as well as smaller, more independent retailers such as Farm Shops and Deli’s, in addition to the Wholesale and Culinary Markets throughout the UK.
Livesey Brothers will be on hand to show their extensive range of Exotic Mushrooms, as well as providing free taste samples, information leaflets and recipe booklets. They are happy to share their vast knowledge of their Exotic Mushroom varieties with interested visitors on the day and to discuss the fantastic flavours, textures and the versatility of their Exotic Mushrooms.
Free samples will be handed out on the day and various Exotic Mushroom packs will be on sale.
Livesey Brothers will be showcasing their Normanton Pedigree Hereford Beef Burgers on the day, so come and try the award winning burgers; crowned Best Tasting Beef for 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011!!
