Welcome

The 100th Ashby Show was a huge success and once the early morning rain stopped, families turned out in the thousands to enjoy the sunshine.  HRH The Duke of Gloucester officially opened the Show in the morning and watched the wonderful 100 Years of Farming Parade in the Main Ring.  He then took a walk around the showground visiting trade stands and the British Farm Produce Marquee.

Adam Henson was a big hit with everyone he met and went over and above what we had expected of him. The young handlers in the cattle & sheep sections were thrilled to have him as judge this year and he spent a lot of time with each exhibitor.  His fee was very kindly supported by Ivanhoe Countrystore, for which we are very grateful.

As always the ever popular Boldog Lings Motorcycle Display Team wowed the crowds and JC Ball's Digger Dance Team stunned everyone with their accuracy and movement with such huge machines.

Everyone has said that this year's Cattle Parade rivalled the big county shows.  This was partly thanks to our main sponsor Tim Livesey of Livesey Bros Mushrooms, who managed to get over 100 Hereford cattle entered this year.  This took a lot of time and much badgering by Tim of all his fellow Hereford breeders but it was worth it to see the huge number fill the perimeter of the main ring at one point during the parade!  Thanks go to all exhibitors (horse, cattle, sheep and show jumpers) for their support.

Trade space sold out a few weeks before the Show and we would like to thank all the exhibitors for coming along with such a varied range of stands.  The agricultural support we get is second to none and you give our showground such an impressive look.

We hope to see you all again in 2015!

Don't miss!

Livestock is an important feature of Ashby Show and there will be showing classes for cattle, sheep, horses as well as show jumping.  This helps us to promote a strong link with town and country.  As well as the action in the Main Ring there will be a huge variety of trade stands for those of you who like shopping plus the British Farm Produce Marquee, Rural Craft Area, Craft Marquee, Shopping Marquee, WI Marquee, Dog Show, Small Livestock & Foreign Bird Marquees, archery and much much more. There is something to entertain everyone attending the Show and this all makes it a ‘must’ on the social calendar for all of you who come back year after year.

What's on?

Cattows Farm is a beautiful venue to hold Ashby Show and we feel we have got it just about right now after our move there 3 years ago.
